This channel includes managed services, software, and hardware that that support the delivery of digital identity solutions under the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework Act 2023.
What are Digital Identity Services?
Digital Identity Services enable secure and trusted digital interactions by:
- Verifying a user’s access to services (Authentication Services)
- Linking information to the correct individuals and organisations (Binding Services)
- Providing or validating accurate personal and organisational information (Information Services)
- Supporting the verification of digital credentials (Verification Support Services)
What’s not included:
- Credential Services: Agencies must use the All-of-Government Issuance Platform. Contact governmentapp@dia.govt.nz for more information.
- Facilitation Services: Agencies must use the digital wallet provided in the Govt.nz app. Contact governmentapp@dia.govt.nz for more information.
- Independent Evaluation Services: Agencies should consult the list of Independent Evaluators on the DIA website to engage independent evaluation of privacy, security and identification management for accreditation purposes.
