Trust Framework Accreditation
The Digital Identity Services Trust Framework aims to create a digital identity environment that is safe and trusted. It’s important that people can share their information safely and securely, and that businesses and others who need this information know that the information they’re receiving can be trusted.
Digital identity providers offering Authentication, Binding, Credential, Facilitation or Information services can become accredited under the Framework. This means they have proven that they meet, and continue to meet, the standards for using, storing and sharing personal and organisational information. Using accredited digital identity services helps to make sure that user’s information and privacy are protected. The Trust Framework Authority is the regulator of accredited digital identity services.
When seeking a digital identity product or service, look for the accreditation mark. The mark shows that the service provider has proven they meet the rules and regulations of the framework, and have been accredited by the Trust Framework Authority. Note that if a service is listed in a Marketplace channel, this does not imply that accreditation has been granted. Accredited services are listed on the Trust Framework register.
